You are Loosed because Jesus has set you free. Now, it’s time to maintain your breakthrough. But what if I told you that the maintenance portion is the part that many stumble on? Yes! Many simply don’t have the needed tools to maintain their freedom. And not to mention, many don’t believe tools are required to uphold and sustain their healing, breakthrough, or deliverance. But that ends TODAY! When Jesus sets someone free, the enemy is furious. Satan is standing on the opposite side of the boxing ring with a defeated yet sly look on his face. The sly look of Satan is saying, ‘you got me this time, but I won’t go down without a fight. I’m coming with a vengeance!’ Child of God. The only way you can sustain your freedom from the devil is to obtain the tools the Lord has given you. It is my assignment to impart some wisdom so you can sustain your God-given freedom. You are no longer bound by the enemy. Instead, you are loosed by Jesus. In the Book of John, Chapter 8, we see that Jesus was left alone with a woman caught in the very act of adultery. Back then, to be a woman who was caught in adultery meant defilement and was doomed for a horrific death which resulted from being stoned. Yet, when some Pharisees presented a woman to Jesus whom they just caught red-handed, naked, and fooling around with some woman’s husband, Jesus responded in such passion and redemption. “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?” She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.” Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” – John 8:10b-12 If we look at John 8:1-12, we can note these five essential tools that you can utilize to maintain your freedom. 1. When Jesus commands the demons to leave, they must Go. We can liken Jesus commanding the Pharisees to throw a stone at the woman (only if they were without sin) like demons tormenting a child of God. You see, the Pharisees were tormenting that woman by presenting her in the open quarters, naked and left to feel nothing but shame and humiliation. Like this woman, many have been oppressed by demons and are left feeling violated, abused, ‘messed up in the head,’ shamed, and outright defeated. However, whenever an accusation is brought up to our Savior, He must see about it. Much like deliverance, He must see if our accusers have a legal claim for bringing such torment and harassment. With the accusers, there was no legal claim that would permit them to stone her. Therefore, the only thing for them to do was to GO. Child of God, when demons no longer have a legal claim which is often revoked by renouncing – the art of breaking an agreement and telling the enemy you will no longer stand for such abuse, in the name of Jesus, they must GO. 2. You have been set free It’s funny because Jesus being all-knowing, asked the woman where her accusers were as if He did not know. He knew her accusers left. However, Jesus wanted the woman to know her accusers were no longer tormenting her. To remain free, you must understand that when Jesus sets you free, those accusers of yours are no longer accusing you. They left, in Jesus’ name! Now, you must allow your mind to resonate around the truth that your accusers, those demons, those tormentors released their claim and hold from you. You are set free! 3. The guilt and shame are washed away. “Neither do I.” To give the seal of confirmation, Jesus confirmed His love for the woman by stating, ‘neither do I condemn you...’ this facet that Jesus pronounces is very crucial. Child of God, you must know that Jesus/God does not condemn you! The enemy will try to invoke thoughts onto you to make you think that Jesus is condemning you for your previous behavior. However, Jesus will never condemn you. In fact, Jesus will encourage your wholeness and freedom. Therefore, when the enemy comes in like a flood, cast those thoughts out and walk in the truth that Jesus will NEVER condemn you. 4. Go your way. Jesus topped off His conversation with the woman by stating, ‘Go and sin no more.’ This is a two-part revelation. The first, ‘Go.’ Walk in the peace that Jesus has set you free, and He does not hold your past sin and shame against you. The Next, sin no more. One of the biggest keys to sustaining your deliverance is sinning no more. When you choose to walk away from your lifestyle of sin, you entirely shut the door to the enemy. However, if you leave an ounce of sin at the door, the enemy will bust it wide open and bring his demons to torment you. After all, when you do not completely shut the door to the enemy, you permit him to torment you. 5. Fuel up! Yes, you have just been serviced and maintained by Jesus. Now it’s time to fuel up! Fuel on the goodness of Jesus and allow your temple to be completely full of HIM. When you are full of God, you leave no room for the enemy, nor are there shadows of claims where he can tempt you. Therefore, fuel up on the goodness of God by getting into His presence, getting involved with God-like communities, reading the Word of God, praying, worshipping, speaking in tongues. Get the fullness of God into your temple. Child of God, you have the keys and fuel needed to sustain your deliverance and walk-in optimum freedom. Now, it’s time to rev up your engine and live your life for Jesus. He is waiting for you!!
