Roughly nine months ago I found a few lumps on my body. During this time, physically I had experienced tons to changes, from weight loss to skin breakouts, so I figured it was just seasonal or hormonal so it should pass. Several weeks and months continue to go by, and those lumps were still there. Still, I did not panic because the last thing I wanted to do was go to the doctors unless It’s a dire emergency, and this just did not seem like one. Eventually, six to seven months later I went to the doctor for a routine check-up and casually expressed what I felt. During this visit, my doctor’s countenance dropped and said this seems alarming while trying her hardest to keep a reassuring smile on her face, though I noticed the fear breaking through. Once my visit was over, she referred me to do several follow up visits, screenings, and test. For the first few tests, I prayed went to my visits and told no one. I figured I’m okay no need to alarm my family. I didn’t want to cause them any added stress or fear during this time. However, this thinking quickly ceased after they said I needed a second opinion and possibly surgery because they believe this mass could be malignant. My heart dropped. I couldn’t believe what I heard, so I did the only thing I knew to do. PRAY. I prayed, my mom prayed, and my friend prayed. During this time of praying, I knew this was serious because without having prior knowledge of what my friend is praying for, the Holy Spirit, through her gift of prophecy revealed the exact diagnosis the doctors gave. At this point, I did everything in the strength of the Holy Spirit to remain confident and in faith knowing that whatever God wills to do, His will, will be done. In fact, throughout this entire process, my confidence remained as such, ‘whatever the outcome is, God, will be glorified.’ However, I did not realize the magnitude of which God would use me. If you don’t know, I have a younger brother who is 15. I intentionally did not want to tell him what was happening because, like my said forth thinking, I didn’t want to upset him, without having solid concrete answers – but my mother beat me to the punch. She told him everything when I found out, I was instantly frustrated and couldn’t understand why my mom would go against my wishes and inform my brother especially knowing he gets emotional and upset when it comes to trying, scary or stressful situations. Nevertheless, God spoke to me and reminded me of my wishes of Him being glorified throughout this entire process. Lo-and-behold, to my surprise, my brother was not upset; in fact, God used this moment to encourage him to pray more. Shortly after, it was now time for my final exam that was to proceed surgery. During this visit, I continued to remain calm and at peace knowing that I left everything in God’s hand, and whatever He wills, His will be done. After that visit, the verdict came in. The lumps were no longer of concern, and there was no need for surgery. And to top it off, those nine-month-old growing lumps that I once felt are totally gone. Now, I don’t know how severe these lumps were, but if you ask me, malignant sounds very severe, however only God knows the severity. What I do know is that whatever my prognosis was, God wanted all the glory. He is Jehovah Rapha, my healer. Through the grace of God, there are no malignant cancerous cells in my body! During this journey, my strength was strengthened in faith knowing that complete and total healing is in the hands of Jesus. I write and speak on the healing of God quite often, and now it was time for me to experience the power of His hand in my life. This healing came by faith and prayer. I do believe in the full power of prayer therefore, I want to walk you through prophetic prayer and healing, below, are a few prayers I've composed for you. Jesus, I ask that you come into my heart and be Lord over my life. Father, your Word in Romans 10:9-10 says, ‘that if I confess with my mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in my heart that YOU have raised Him from the dead, then I will be saved.’ So Father, with my mouth I confess and with my heart I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sins and that you raised Him from the dead so that I may live. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen. Lastly, if you said this prayer and have dedicated your life to Christ (or back) by faith you are saved!
