Wheeeww listen!! It’s been a minute since I last blogged! I’m finally at the tail end (for now) of my assignment. I was studying for a major test which is now behind me, in the process of writing my second book – it’s finished and will drop soon, WHOOP, WHOOP! All while planning for books 3 – 7. Yes, three through SEVEN! When it rains, it pours. Just imagine trying to finish your second book, and oodles of ideas flood your mind! Listen, the fight for concentration was REAL! Lol. Nevertheless, with my plate full of various assignments, I still had to encourage and grace myself. There were times where doubt and frustration would creep in. I would feel bad for not sticking to my two blogs a month schedule and felt as if I wasn’t doing 'enough.' However, God continuously reminded me that I AM MORE THAN ENOUGH! So much that He nudged me to read the first book that I released last year (GET IT HERE). Anywho, I love how God intercepts your racing thoughts and every dart that the enemy tries to throw at you. He does it beautifully. Here I am about to approach a pity party, and God reminded me that the same grace I give to everyone is the same grace I need to give myself (Let that sink in!). Often, we take on the standard of this world, while piling condemnation on ourselves – doing this drives us further away from Christ. "How," you say? Well, whenever we take on the ideas, standards, and conform to the thinking of this world, we tend to forget what God said, thus creating a wedge between us and HIM. However, as I stated, God reminds us beautifully. As children of God, He remembers us, the same way or similar way He called you into His kingdom, will be the same way He reminds you to stay in His kingdom. Once the Lord nudges you back into covenant with Him, whether it’s charging you to think or act Kingdomly, He then charges you to grace yourself. Please catch this. As believers, we must understand the weapon that we possess when we grace ourselves. We all fall short at some point in our walk and life. However, we're not to stay in the posture of condemnation. Condemnation, whether it's yourself or the world condemning you, will leave an open door for the enemy. Once the enemy enters your holy space, he likes to have a field day on your mind and tell you lies that are contrary to the Lord's belief concerning you. Therefore, grace yourself. Grace yourself by speaking words of affirmation, remind yourself that you are a child of the Most High God. Remind yourself that the Lord still think good thoughts towards you. Remind yourself that though you may have fallen short in some way or another, you are still being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus (Romans 3:23-24). Amen! NOW! Before we close out this blog, the Minister in me will not allow me to exit without saying this: "Although you have the grace of God, this is not a ticket to intentionally sin or disobey The Father. It's an encouragement to get back up and try again!" – Have a Blessed One 2020 Vision!
